Samson's Journey: Our Christmas Miracle

Our gentle giant was diagnosed with immune mediated thrombocytopenia (ITP), a rare and life-threatening condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys platelets, essential for blood clotting. Samson's platelet count dropped to a terrifyingly low level of just 7, far below the normal range of 200-500. It was a moment that sent shockwaves through our hearts and left us grappling with fear and uncertainty.
A Christmas Miracle
As the days passed, we watched Samson's condition remain critical, and the festive season felt anything but merry. Yet, it was on Christmas Day that something truly miraculous happened—Samson's platelet levels began to rise, inching their way towards the lower end of the normal range.
